Prime minister Hailemariam Desalegn tells the parliament that there will be a chance to extend the state of emergency.
On his six months' report to the parliament, he reviewed how the six months state of emergency helped to stablize the country and it is important to extend it.
"According to our findings, many people wants the full or portions of the decree of state of emergency to be extended," he said.
Hailemariam did not explain the situation of the people who are still in detention centers following the state of emergency.
Following country wide protest last year the government paused the six month state of emergency on October, 2016.
