There has been numerous clashes between different ethnic groups in different regions in Ethiopia especially in the past few months.

Somali region Liyu police and Oromia region police have been fighting around the regional boundaries in the past couple of months.

Number of civilians have been killed and over 500 people were displaced.

The government was very quite in this regard to address the issue.

Today, prime minister Hailemariam Desalegn admited to the parliament that the cause of the conflict were those in power in both regions.

"They want the conflict because they make a money out of it," he said.

He also blamed the authorities in both sides for trying to make conflict as ethnic based political issue while it was just a two brothers disagreement living around the territory.
